How can it possibly be August already? I'm not ready to truly say goodbye to summer, but I have been working in my room {slowly} so it feels pretty much like it's over. :-( Sad.
But at the same time, there's that bit of excitement about a new year, new students, new supplies....you get the idea.
AND...new month means new Currently! The lovely Farley at Oh Boy! 4th Grade! is amazing for hosting this great linky every month. :-)
Listening: This show is CRAZY. It is based on a true story, it seems. It's equal parts horrifying and humorous. Or possibly more horrifying, but luckily the humor is there to temper it slightly. It is fairly inappropriate content however...not for the faint of heart! Yowza.
Loving: Tomorrow is our eleventh anniversary. I married the best man ever...I love him so much! :-)
Thinking: Watching this crazy show makes me utterly in awe of how ridiculously unsuccessful I would be in prison. Seriously...not that I have done or ever would do anything to land me there, but in no way would I last. I have had a couple weird dreams after watching late at night...no bueno!
Wanting: Every year I wait and wait for that magic wand to show up in my mailbox. It has yet to arrive. If someone accidentally got my magic wand in their teacher mailbox, would you please send it along when you are done???
Needing: Oh my classroom. It's in a sad, sad, sorry state.
See? |
B2S Must Have #2: Alarm clock. Seriously. All summer long I can get up whenever I please. I can get up early if I want and I don't need the clock. But as soon as I HAVE to get up...I better have that alarm set!
Whew! Ok...head on over and link up your Currently! Happy August everyone!
HAHAHAHA! The prison comment totally grabbed me! Made me make a funny face while reading the currently page...
ReplyDeleteI could never do prison either.
Congrats on 11 years!
I love me some new, fun pens too!

I almost envy you your need of a clock - I wake up almost every day by 5am, right on schedule. At least it will be easy for me to transition back into the early mornings! But wait, I won't get to take those early afternoon two hour naps...
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you on getting the classroom organized. I'm in a new school and have 5 kitchens (home ec teacher) to scrub out, inventory, replace items, organize, color-code, and label... in addition to the rest of the room!
Hope you have a terrific start to your school year, and Happy Anniversary!
Hi Denise! I wish I could wake up early...but I'm just not a morning person!
DeleteWhew! You have a lot going on...good luck getting everything ready!

I found your blog through Farley's link up! It's adorable! I'm now following you on Bloglovin'!
ReplyDeleteI might need to get a pack of those ultra fine pens for my grade book! Love them! I just bought a huge set of 48 of the original flair pens from online. They are the absolute best pens for grading and teaching!
I really need to get on Netflix and check out Orange is the new Black. I've heard so many great things about the show. Better start it now while I have some time to watch it!
Good luck with the start of school and congrats on 11 years!
